Quick Update: Arlen Spector announces switch to Dems.
There’s a shocker. It won’t make a change in how the votes play out because the slimebag has been voting like a flaming libtard for years.

Well, the Acupuncture Chronicles are a thing of the past.
In the face of unrelenting pain, now we move into the Epidural Chronicles.
The pain specialist (new guy) and his nurse practitioner are some of the most up-front straight-shooters I’ve run into yet. They think they can help me, one way or another.
They’re going to do a run of three cervical epidurals. Let’s hope these work because the following options are not so rosy – fusing vertebrae.

A question for those who stumble by…
Mexico has the highest number of deaths from Swine Flu.
Two questions:
- How many deaths are in Mexico City itself.
- How much can Mexico City’s worse-than-the-rest-of-the-world-except-Beijing air quality have a part to play in this
Update…
Google Maps tracker for cases of Swine Flu.

I hope the Palm Beach Post folks can forgive me but this guy is a hero and it has to be pointed out. My condolences to his girlfriend.
Man, 70, drowns saving two boys in rip current
South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Sunday, April 26, 2009
POMPANO BEACH — A 70-year-old man drowned in the ocean Saturday while rescuing two young boys who got caught in a rip current and rough surf off Pompano Beach, officials said.
Charles Schulze carried the two boys, ages 9 and 12, almost to shore in the 1200 block of South Ocean Boulevard.
At that point, onlookers jumped into the water, brought the boys onto the sand and checked them over to make sure they were all right.
The boys were fine. But when the beachgoers looked back at the water, they found Schulze floating face-down, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sandra King said.
Another man jumped into the water and pulled Schulze to shore. But despite the efforts of some beachgoers who performed CPR, the boys’ rescuer was pronounced dead a short time later at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale.
Schulze lived in Pompano Beach and Washington, D.C., according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
His girlfriend witnessed the entire incident, King said.
“He’s a hero,” King said. “He saved the lives of these two boys.”
Is it entirely too much to ask of reporters that since the English language is their business and art, they ought to spell correctly and use proper grammar?
“It’s our responsibility to educate people on what they’re risks are and to encourage them to try to take measures to prevent the spread of the disease,” he said. “Certainly people should stay away from people who are know to be ill, practice good hand hygene, as well as good cough and sneeze etiquette.”

LK – My Bro had verts fuzed. Boo…
Hold off on that option until you’ve exhausted all others, twice. But you know that.
And begging your pardon for spewing unsolicited advice.
At least the epidurals should result in “some” relief, shouldn’t they? And opiates (vile as they are after a while) can help a dab.
Best wishes, dude.
The very first epidural did wonders. The second… not so. The third procedure was a block and didn’t work well at all.
So, round #2. After having my head manipulated today I am feeling different.
Saturday, because the neck has given me problems, I was walking around funny. I grab the cast-iron dutch oven, turn, and BAM down on the floor, lower back spasms. So at least that pain has been bad enough that I can ignore the headaches.
But today they moved/contorted me to determine at what positions I’d squeak in, and now my neck allows me to take my mind off of my back.
It’s hilarious, I tell you. Really, this is entertaining.
The nurse practitioner said “Gee, you really aren’t taking much vicodin at all.” I said “That is for a reason – I hate pills. By rights what I’m feeling right now I should be taking something but I just don’t want to.”
As strange as this may sound, McGoo – I have very little if any control in my life right now – but I can control this, and I get my say in this. So if it is being stubborned about the pain and refusing, well, there’s my control.
Unless you have an anesthetist that knows their shit, epidurals can be a real (lack of relief) pain. My wife had our second child by natural childbirth, after a Chinaman fool fucked up and chose column B. She was not a happy camper. Also after the ordeal she found her legs had been numbed when she try to walk to the pisser. We should have sued.
But hey, with ObamaCare we can all have such high quality service–if the cost/benefit analysis allows.
It was the old pain specialist that did the prior epidurals. This current guy was surprised when I mentioned pain post-procedure.
I’m talking bad bad pain. I’ve had migraines that were made to look wimpy by comparison. Also had a few flare-ups that required hospital intervention – the “I-just-punched-two-holes-through-the-wall-because-this-is-sixteen-straight-hours-of-writhing-on-the-bed” pain.
Long and short I’m pretty much ready to consider all options if it makes for a more livable life.
Damn man – fused vertebrae? I sure hope it never comes to that. Hey, I just heard about this on the radio before I came here: Neck Pain Study. Maybe something to look into perhaps if the epidural thing doesn’t work. Keeping fingers crossed for you buddy.
They really don’t know for sure that it is limited to the channels the nerves run through or if there is disc involvement that they haven’t detected yet. Another MRI is probably in my future.
Seriously man, if it makes my days relatively pain-free I’ll fuse those damn vertebrae in a heartbeat. Though relaxation/visualization has helped me to work through a lot of pain it doesn’t work beyond a certain level and I’m tiring of this.
Charles Hatfield Schulze is a German-American angel!Danke Schön and Auf Wiedersehen, Charles!
Charles Hatfield Schulze was the grandson of Associate Judge, Charles Sherrod Hatfield under Warren G. Harding. To remember Schulze, listen to the song called Go Rest High On That Mountain by Vince Gill.
