A “You Lie” Moment…

Read the article and see if you don’t agree with me when I say “Spoken like a true arrogant asshole.”

Hopkins just comes across as a self-fart-sniffer so enamored of his own ideas that he’s willing to trash other people’s accomplishments to build himself up.  Damn I hate egotistical scientists.

Remember, I’m a firm believer in earned arrogance… arrogance is ok – you just need to earn it is all.  Oh, and crapping on others to get ahead… I frown upon that.  Mightily.

It’s a damned echo chamber – chamber – chamber – chamber…

In the Fourth Assessment Report (AR4), issued in 2007 by the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), scientists wrote that 40 percent of the Amazon rainforest in South America was endangered by global warming.

But that assertion was discredited this week when it emerged that the findings were based on numbers from a study by the World Wildlife Federation that had nothing to do with the issue of global warming — and that was written by a freelance journalist and green activist.

The IPCC report states that “up to 40 percent of the Amazonian forests could react drastically to even a slight reduction in precipitation” — highlighting the threat climate change poses to the Earth. The report goes on to say that “it is more probable that forests will be replaced by ecosystems … such as tropical savannas.”

This is what happens when you let religious zealotry take over, and you leaven it with arrogance.

Luckily Alito and other justices don’t report to this clown or to congress.

President Obama took the extraordinary step in Wednesday’s State of the Union address of slamming the Supreme Court for last week’s decision striking down limits on corporate spending on political advertisements, ruling that the Court had “opened the floodgates” to special interests and foreign corporations in elections.

And it appears that one of the Justices in the audience didn’t agree.

As Obama spoke, Justice Samuel Alito shook his head and appears to mouth the words, “not true.”

Pretty amazing–both for Obama and for Alito.

Obama is the last guy to be harping about special interests with cronyism of his own, czar-studded vision, and backroom dealings.

Yeah, I know I said I wasn’t gonna blog but I could not let this pass.

Isn’t Matthews the high-n-mighty ass who went off about racism?

Only thieves accuse everyone else of being one.

Matthews, who appeared on the cable network shortly after the speech, said of the president:

“I was trying to think about who he was tonight. And uh, it’s interesting. He is post-racial, by all appearances. You know, I forgot he was black tonight for an hour….

“I was watching, I said, ‘wait a minute!’ He’s an African-American guy in front of a bunch of other white people and there he is president of the United States and we’ve completely forgotten that tonight — completely forgotten it!”
