NIGHTFREAKINGMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I kind of thought they were cute.
In a bloody beasts sort of way.
Has a sort of “Weasels Ripped My Flesh” vibe, don’t it?
Zappa totally rules.
Exactly. I forwarded it on to Stoaty and she felt the same, so it can’t be a fluke. Her words might have been something like the artist being “the go-to guy for shirtless he-men being attacked by tiny mammals.”
Which is something to be known for, to be sure. Stoaty has some of the best turns-of-phrase ever.
Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m wondering how different that pic would look if someone attached the following – “the go-to guy for overweight transvestites being attacked by tiny mammals.”
What had immediately come to mind was Divine from Polyester as Francine Fishpaw.
Interestingly, this artwork is strikingly similar to the September 1956 cover of Man’s Life, which along with a 1953 Schick electric shaver ad, inspired the actual album cover art by artist Neon Park.
“Weasels Ripped My Flesh” is considered by fans to be Phase Two of the album “Burnt Weeny Sandwich”.
Nobody has great album names the way that Zappa does.
