Yep. I’m not a “conspiracy” proponent by any means, but things do seem to be going awry amongst our leaders. If they were civilians they’d be called “Preppers”.
Soon we’ll be living in “interesting times”, I fear.

I want to have a reasonable amount of trust in my government, but they are making it very, very hard to do so.

It’s a good thing we know some people who also have automatic weapons and MRAPs, they’re called Marines and their buddies with US Army, US Navy or USAF on their clothes might have a problem with those things being used in America.
Paranoia, if followed diligently, will always be right eventually, so you shouldn’t knock it too much.
Just think how much better things would have been leading up to Germany’s little experiment if more people had been paranoid.
I think vigilant (not vigilante) is the better way to go about it.

Been watching ammo reportages for some time but was shocked recently when I saw just how bad it really is.

My local gun store has plenty of ammo and the prices aren’t bad.
But WASR-10s are going for $800, they were $350 in October.

I will say that I have two weapons that have been on Future Weapons.
So I have high hopes.
With the thinning of the senior officer corps, of all branches (though the Navy seems to be most often in the news in this regard) for various “infractions”…and I have no doubt some are legit, we have had senior officers doing stupid things &trade. since there were senior officers… still, the upper levels seem to be being “pruned” a lot! This leads me to believe that those left standing will be much more inclined to follow their political betters than to follow and or adhere to their oaths (I solemnly swear to protect and defend the Constitution…etc). That being the case, just how many of the junior officer corps and enlisted (senior and junior) are going to follow them when they require unconstitutional acts to be preformed? And I am not talking about being involved in undeclared wars or police actions…we crossed that bridge along time ago…and burned that puppy flat to the ground.
