I’m a very visual creature. Photos and art do it for me. Music might if I could hear more than about 30% of it.
But pictures… ah!

UPDATE: The Dude sent me this…
And that led to another co-worker (Mr. Dry) sending out this: Cats that look like Hitler. An example:

Christopher Gilbert Artwork. NICE.
A LEGO aircraft carrier. $$$$
A sketch/painting that has me very interested in Gouache as an artistic media. (Enas! Checkitout!) More info…

These people MUST get out more… Here are some examples to give you an idea – dressing up like a video game character. Go to the link and see them all.
At least this guy can say he was doing it for his son…
God I hope this is some kind of hyper-realistic costume and not real.

And lastly, go get yourself a few cult films for Thanksgiving. Push the boundaries outside of MST3000, Troma, and ReAnimator.
Ah, Satan’s watercolors – gouache. I’ve never tried them, though I get the sense that “if you’re going to go opaque you might as well go with acrylics or oils”. Although, I once knew a guy who painted with undiluted watercolor paints on paper. Pure dry brush, which is also opaque. I didn’t realize it at the time but that’s probably one of the most expensive ways to paint.
Actually the next up on my art agenda is the airbrush. I’ve finally got a workspace set up in my garage for doing stuff that’s too messy to do inside and I’ve been wanting to try that again for the longest time. It looks like this loooong weekend is shaping up to be perfect for it.
What about you? Did you ever try that etching process again?
I had a Kitler visiting-kitty a few years back (but I opted to call him Chaplin — he had a perfect mustache). He used to come to my back door at least once a day and holler his head off, as though he had something really important to tell me. I felt sorry for him, as he was really beat up, but didn’t dare do more than slip him a little food, as my 2 cats hated him , and would go nuts at his first meow.
I hope you and the family have a swell Thanksgiving, LK!
Happy Thanksgiving LK! I hope everything is ok over there.
