Ok, anyone who is anyone has seen the Drudge headline…
$335,000,000 FOR STD PREVENTION IN ECONOMIC STIMULUS BILL
Wed Jan 28 2009 09:58:30 ETDemocrats may have eliminated provisions on birth control and sod for the National Mall in the "job stimulus" -- but buried on page 147 of the bill is stimulation for prevention of sexually transmitted diseases!
The House Democrats' bill includes $335 million for sexually transmitted disease education and prevention programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
In the past, the CDC has used STD education funding for programs that many Members of Congress find objectionable and arguably unrelated to a mission of economic stimulus [such as funding events called 'Booty Call' and 'Great Sex' put on by an organization that received $698,000 in government funds.]
"Whether this funding has merit is not the question; the point is it has no business in an economic plan supposedly focused on job creation," says a stimulated Hill source.
How about that? You’re out of work but you’re free of the clap. Actually even that is not right.
Your tax dollars in a crappy economy are aimed at helping people who can’t keep it in their pants. Great use, you socialist jackasses.
Not that our government should be in the “bailout” business. When a market adjustment like this happens and the hedonistic glow dies down, people lose. They lose because projected earnings never materialized and they weren’t cautious. No use railing against that reality – it’s like bitching about how you have to die someday because you’re alive now.
It depends on how you define “stimulation.” I suppose some kind of case might be made for condoms in a stimulatory atmosphere.
Give Pelosi a chance she’ll come up with some kind of wacky bullshit to justify it.
Allen!
Long time no hear. Hope you are doing well. Did you get your dog yet?
Zoe the English Shepherd is the bestest most awesomest dog and she’s my baby. Smart as a whip other than being a “teenager” still.
Hey LK, are you feeling any better?
Hey Enas –
I have stifled all possibility of laughter, resigned myself to shallow breathing, and lift nothing heavier than my fingers.
Permanently removed the need to sneeze by pouring epoxy up my sinuses.
All things you do to avoid straining the silly thing while it heals.
I pray that the kid’s stomach bug doesn’t get passed on…
Barf-o-Rama yesterday. Shades of Linda Blair.
Goodness. If only we could just pack you into a nerf cocoon for a month or two and give everything a chance to heal up, you’d come out a new man.
Hey there LK. I’m doing fine, I’m still waiting on my pooch, there should be one available this spring. Good looking hound you have, she’s growing quick.
Nerf me, Enas! NERF ME!
I am coming to realize how it is that people’s health can slowly go downhill. The neck problems and pain issues have kept me from being as active as I am accustomed (bicycling and power lifting) and as a result it leaves me open to bullsh*t like this. Plus you just plain don’t feel as good overall.
As soon as I am possibly able, I’m going to be back in the gym, take it easy for a while, and then go full-guns gonzo crazy. At heart I’m a bod-nazi, and this is a real eye-opening learning experience for me. I have ALWAYS been super active.
Alan – I’ll be posting a new pic of Zoe soon… I am biased of course, but I can step back and say objectively that she is one extremely pretty dog. She was spayed and finally got her stitches out. Now she can leap even higher than ever before and is lovey-dovey to excess. I love it. Damn good breed. I’d recommend the breeder any day of the week.
