And a Woman Shall Lead before Him.

Update:

I expect this from a little kid who doesn’t know better or just a jerk that goes over his boss’ head to get what he wants, but you don’t expect it from your president.

If he doesn’t get what he wants he marginalizes you and moves on until he gets the response he wants.

End run around Chamber of Commerce… nice.   Stayin’ classy, I see.

The administration is now trying to neutralize the Chamber by doing an end-run around the group and dealing directly with its members.

During remarks in early October, President Obama named and shamed the Chamber for opposing a consumer protection agency.

And the White House again criticized the group Tuesday, telling Fox News in an e-mail that the group’s opposition to reform efforts gives the administration pause.

“We have an open door to the ideas and suggestions of the business community including the Chamber,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, noting that administration “representatives” met with Chamber representatives last week. “But it does give us pause that they continue to throw millions of dollars against productive efforts under way to reform the regulatory structure, provide access to affordable health insurance for more Americans and reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions — all plans essential to the continued growth and recovery of our economy.”

One of these days, just invoking his “huge popularity” and banking on that being good political capital to get what he wants is going to just fail.  It’ll be an Epic Fail.   And I’ll laugh.  And giggle.  And laugh some more.

Yeps… Sarah Palin to appear on Oprah.

Contrast that with… yes!

Obama refuses to appear on Fox.

Do you *really* think Sarah is going to get a warm hug from the Oprah crowd?  A book review about a conservative mom?  Like Oprah is going to gush over Palin’s new book “Going Rogue: An American Life”.

Do you *really* think Obama would be verbally abused on Fox?

Who is tougher here?  Who had the balls to go into a potentially uncomfortable situation?

I know who I vote for.

His flunky, Gibbs, acting every bit like a man drenched in a bucket of the finest slippery-slimy-politician-sweat (greasiest stuff in existence) ever:

Gibbs weighed in on the controversy after several top White House advisers have gone on other channels to criticize Fox News’ coverage of the administration, dismiss the network as the mouthpiece of the Republican Party and urge other news organizations not to treat Fox News as a legitimate news station.

Gibbs said White House officials “render (that) opinion based on some their coverage and the fairness of that coverage.”

But asked how Fox News was different from other news organizations, Gibbs mentioned the channel’s 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows, in an explicit reference to “Beck” and “Hannity” — even though those two shows represent opinion programming.

Informed that those hours are for opinion programming, Gibbs said: “That is our opinion.”

You know, when the president decides he doesn’t like some news organization and then encourages other news organizations to take care of them… you are screwing with the free press and you are acting like a Godfather.

Sadly, he also seems to behave a great deal like Kwame Kilpatrick in terms of how he spends tax dollars.  Kilpatrick was really big on making sure no expense was spared in throwing parties for his buddies and want-t0-buddies.

By the way… am I the only one who is just overwhelmed with the new age of complete and utter transparency the messaiah has brought upon us?

Justice is served.  Woman crushed by fire station door after making fake 911 call.
(Source:  Fox News)

Police say an Idaho woman who made a false 911 call to lure paramedics out of their station made a real emergency call minutes later when she got trapped under the station’s garage door.

Melissa R. Farris died Oct. 2 of injuries suffered when she was crushed by the closing garage door at the Canyon County station.

Farris, a former paramedic at the station, had been trying to crawl under the door after the ambulance left to respond to a nonexistent traffic accident she’d called in a few minutes earlier.

Caldwell Police Chief Chris Allgood says it may never be known why Farris was trying to gain access to the station

But according to a police report obtained by KBCI-TV, her sister told investigators that Farris may have been going after prescription medication stored in the station.

What do you want to bet someone gets sued for not having a safety d00r-won’t-close-if-bitter-ex-employee-tries-to-crawl-under-it mechanism?  I don’t have much pity for people who abuse 911 calls when someone who could really need it might pay for the extra unnecessary distraction.

Why?

A popular haunted house in Simi Valley that attracts thousands of children each Halloween has been shut down because the city deemed it an unsafe structure.

Haunted Halls has been operated by Cindy Fike and her family outside their Sebring Street home for the past eight years. But what makes it popular — a covered wooden maze with steel poles, dark and spooky scenes, and volunteers that startle visitors — is the reason it was given a 72-hour notice Friday to be taken down.

Responding to an anonymous complaint, the city said the 1,200-square-foot “amusement building” didn’t have a permit.

If he’s been doing it for years, odds are it’s fairly safe, so why did someone feel the need to make an anonymous complaint?

Grow some balls, you whoever decided to pee on a bunch of kids’ fun.

Obama tried his best, Michelle sacrificed her heart out, and Oprah didn’t support the candidate of her choice like she hasn’t from day one as he ran for election.  She was just there, pulling for the children, just like Michelle.

But… but… but… The One can’t fail.   Or can he?

Yes.  Yes he can.

So, the US  – more specifically ChicagoLand – will not rake in the huge bucks to slake the thirst of the pigs at the trough.  Kickbacks and bribes will go without completion.  Dogs and cats will live together.  It will be anarchy.  The children will weep themselves to sleep, silently.

It’s all about racism, you see.

Surely there is no argument in the world that could possibly be strong enough to defeat the designs of The One, so ergo, it must be racism.  He said that the US was ready and eager to assume the sacred trust.   Oh gag me.

Carter will back me up on this one.  I know it.

UPDATE to the poorly done image below… is right below that.

klanolympiad

Poorly done graphic, isn't it? Well, it's still satire.

Racistlympics-Rio

Let’s get one thing straight.  I hate the KlanI think they are diseased vermin.  I hate the thoughts and ideology that they spew.

I also hate this ongoing issue where anything bad happens to a member of a minority, any disagreement, any letdown, anything that doesn’t go their way, that some bright spark stands up and chirps “It’s racism!”   Like Carter.

Now, go look at the UK tabloid’s (online) coverage.

The U.S. president was embarrassed on the world stage after the IOC rejected his very personal bid for the 2016 Olympic Games to be hosted in his home town of Chicago.

Makes you embarrassed – women weeping in Chicago.  And the caption?

America stunned: Two women comfort each other at a gathering in downtown Chicago this afternoon after the city’s bid to host the 2016 Olympics was rejected.

Now, ladies, seriously… there are people being raped, murdered, starved, drowned all over the world – dying in bad ways – and you want to cry because the Olympics didn’t happen in Chicago?  When put in context, you pathetic creatures look even worse, which I thought would be hard to do.  Guess not.  Ladies, you rose to the occasion just by being you.

Supporters gathered in Chicago were equally shocked. Many left the rally in Daley Plaza tears.  – CBS-Chicago

That’s what we need to be remembered for… weeping because we didn’t get to have the party at our place.  What a bunch of children.

Global Warming predicted this.  I’m sure of it.

It was colder this morning in Port Huron than it has been in more than seven decades.

The Port Huron waste water treatment plant recorded a temperature of 32 degrees at 8 a.m., one degree colder than the record low set Oct. 1, 1935… <snip>

Today’s temperature is expected to reach 59 degrees. The average high for Oct. 1 is 67 degrees in Port Huron.

Why do people get all impressed when someone with lots of money stands up and talks about scads of things they’ve given away?  This latest KFC idiocy is just unbelievable.

Known for generosity, Winfrey has doled out impressive giveaways for her studio audiences, from books to cars, and her comments or support have caused distinct spikes in the popularity of everything from consumer goods to political candidates. She also has hosted a televised philanthropy competition, “Oprah’s Big Give,” where contestants help people in need.

Hey, it’s nice that you have given away stuff, and yeah you’re helping people out.  But here’s the kicker – if you want to show me what a great person you are… don’t try to show me what a great person you are.  TRUE altruism is giving of yourself and no one being the wiser as to who you are – anonymity.

A good deed should be done for it’s own sake.

All too often publicized giving is about improving your image.

Somewhere I read a hebrew viewpoint with good wisdom:

  1. The lowest level of charity, to be avoided if at all possible, is to give a poor person a gift with his full knowledge that you are the donor.
  2. The second is to give an anonymous gift to meet an immediate need.
  3. The third is to provide work that the needy one knows you provided.
  4. The highest level is to provide a job for one in need without his knowledge that you provided it.

Just food for thought.

Effective and far more appealing to me was Paul Newman’s method, which while it did not reach the highest levels, it was still commendable.  Create a product (that was pretty good) and say “All profits go to charity.”  Not a bad model.  It certainly beats hosing your cash around in a big ego-boosting promotional (such as buying cars).

The lying beatch.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insisted Friday that she was briefed only once about the “enhanced” interrogation techniques being used on terrorism suspects and that she was assured by lawyers with the CIA and the Department of Justice that the methods were legal.

Let’s flip this around…

Would you waterboard Pelosi if it would save a hundred terrorist’s lives?

Tough one… let me think about it… don’t rush me.  Let me get back to you, and in the meantime go ahead and start without me, just in case.

Well, who the hell doesn’t want to know about the cruising scene in Argentina?

[U.S.] Government researchers are spending more than $400,000 in taxpayer money to hit the bars in Argentina.

The National Institutes of Health are paying researchers to cruise six bars in Buenos Aires to find out why gay men engage in risky sexual behavior while drunk — and just what can be done about it.

For the sake of homeless, jobless, national security, and for recovery from the recession, it is critical that we know these things.  Hell, it is for the children.

The Dude sent this to me:

Sometimes you are encouraged about our country’s future when you see something like this. Specifically, there is an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term:

This year’s term was “Political Correctness.”

The winner wrote:

“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end”.
